2019 Lake Association Network

2019 Binational Lake Association Network, September 19, Thunderbird Lodge on Rainy Lake (about 10 miles east of International Falls, MN on Highway 11 East).

  • Registration fee $20 USD.  Registration includes morning coffee break and lunch.  Please, no cancellations after September 13 due to catering.
  • Online payment only via credit card.

Overview: Networking day for the over 40 lake associations in the Rainy-Lake of the Woods basin. Learn from other associations active on our waters about their successes, programs, membership engagement and more.

Guest Speakers: 

  • Matt Julius, Professor of Biological Sciences, St. Cloud State University, will speak on:
    "What a long strange trip it’s been: The History and Future of Aquatic Ecosystem Management with Special Focus on the Lake of the Woods Watershed."
  • Shannon Martin, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, will speak on:
    “Feeling Trendy? Why both short and long-term volunteers are valuable to the water clarity trend analysis process.”
